butterfly figure detail_5842I am very excited to announce this project, meant as an active pathway to supporting women bloggers as they take the risk to launch or better their blogs. Are you looking for a community of women writers to surround you as you take the leap? It is my aspiration to form such a community of bloggers supporting one another on their way to creating the highest manifestation of dreams for their blogs as possible.

This sense of community forms naturally in the on-line Transformative Blogging classes I’ve taught since January of 2012 for Story Circle Network (my next class starts February 4th and is open to members and non-members alike). As a result of teaching steadily for a number of sessions, I have drafted up a book about blogging for women.  Worksheets are designed to grapple with the concerns, aspirations and challenges unique to women bloggers (from habits of self-doubt to platform envy).

My motivations for embarking on this larger year of inquiry (extending out of the classroom and into the blogosphere) are two-fold: to widen the circle of connection and to deepen my own perception of what women bloggers bring to the blogosphere (in order to write the best book possible and to provide the best support possible to women bloggers). Three-fold if I’m dead honest: put simply, a large part of my motivation stems from the joy inherent in the process of mind-play and fearless brainstorming with women writers of like mind I’ve already been so blessed to experience as I watch my students one by one face down their fears and position themselves towards realizing their blogging goals.

I had high hopes for starting right up January 1st, but New Year’s day found my family relocating  from Northern California to the southernmost tip of California, which means I will be more fully launching this project in the spring. Once in full swing, I’m hoping to offer subscribers four blog-posts a month as they appear here on the web, and additionally, a private monthly newsletter with a blogging worksheet attached. I will be reviewing current blogging literature, reviewing blogs of note or special interest, as well as fielding a question of the month from readers or subscribers regarding any aspect of blogging.  Hope you’ll stop back by for blogging tips and news as we go.
